The staff of Printworks was privileged to not only meet renowned artist U.S. Staff Sgt. William (Bill) Kleinedler (Ret.) at our office recently, but to also view one of his prized pieces. Bill Kleinedler has shown his work from coast to coast, initially while in the military, and more recently as a civilian.

In his last tour of Iraq he was severely injured by an IED (improvised explosive device) and underwent multiple surgeries and years of rehabilitation. Kleinedler’s bastion has been his wife, Jenny, and his art. Bill had been commissioned to produce artwork for The Warrior & Family Support Center, The United Way, the USAA, and more recently, Fisher House Foundation in Boston. His sculpture “Integro” now resides at the Fisher House Boston in their outdoor healing garden. In an article for Wicked Local, Kleinedler spoke about “Integro”, Latin for “to begin anew” and how he equated the sculpture to the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly. “Butterflies represent hope and beauty of change,” he said.

He has also been named the recipient of the 2013 Lantern Award given by the Knights of Columbus.

We are proud that Printworks has been chosen to be the official printer and distributor of his greeting card collection depicting his inspirational art. To learn more about Bill Kleinedler and to view some of his artwork, visit his website.
